ARP-2059 is a hypoxanthine-aminopterin-thymidine (HAT)-sensitive derivative of the A3.01 cell line, a human T-cell line derived from the peripheral blood buffy coat of a four-year-old Caucasian female with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). A2.01 cells are a clonally selected natural mutant that may serve as a CD4- control for the CD4+ parental A3.01 cell line.
ARP-2059 is resistant to infection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Growth Characteristics: Cells grow in suspension.
Propagation Medium: RPMI 1640 medium supplemented
with 10% fetal bovine serum.
ARP-2059 is negative for bacteria, Mycoplasma and fungi.
Each vial of ARP-2059 contains
approximately 1 × 107 cells in RPMI 1640 medium
supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 10% dimethyl
