ARP-155 is a human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line. Parental HeLa cells were rendered CD8 positive by retrovirus-mediated gene transfer.
ARP-155 is susceptible to human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1) infection and exhibits syncytia formation. HeLa and HeLa CD8+ do not support HIV infection.
Growth Medium: DMEM supplemented with 10% newborn calf serum and 500 µg per mL (w/v) G418
ARP-155 is negative for bacteria, Mycoplasma and fungi.
Each vial of ARP-155 contains
approximately frozen cells in DMEM supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 5% glycerol. Please refer to the
